the flags are flying high again…

The thieves are always watching, what will you do?

Hallelujah! they cry, as if they’re carrying out some holy plan. But inside their minds, they’re living by the better man. Every town they see, they’re burying with their secret agendas and poison so splendid, they’re breaking us down…

But all we see, is that the flags are flying high again, the ships are rolling in, the dogs are sniffing out a win, but the pigs are soaked in sin. All the while our heads are turned, we’re staring at the sun, but stars won’t save our graves from flames, we’re burning when they’re done…

They’re walking with crooked spines, they’ve crippled their holy lands, well it ain’t no surprise, they’re leaning on us again. They’re stealing, we’re reeling, while they’re feeding us feelings, their black hole shine is burying. Leaving us broken and battered, until we’re mad hatters, we’re floating on the winds…

But all we see, is that the flags are flying high again, the ships are rolling in, the dogs are sniffing out a win, but the pigs are soaked in sin. All the while our heads are turned, we’re staring at the sun, but stars won’t save our graves from flames, we’re burning when they’re done…

Permission to fire…

“This song is based on the 1% and the way they use and abuse the rest of the world in order to line their pockets from the sweat off our backs and the blood of our veins…

They have war machines that operate almost autonomously now, filling their pockets with money. Their greed and corruption burns through any place they find themselves in, and decimates the populations for the worse…

The absolute worst part of this, is that they operate in a way that makes us want to fall in line with their structure, and fight for causes that we wouldn’t dream of under normal circumstances…

Given the choice, who would want to work for 40 hrs a week and line someone else’s pockets for their entire lives? Corporate evils and their globalized regimes have masses everywhere, and everyone treats them as though they are doing the world a great justice, but when given the chance, their responsibilities dwindle in the wind the second money isn’t being brought in the way it used to be. They turn their backs on the communities because the economics aren’t there anymore…

This song is about the awareness of how crude that system is. It may not generate a plan in order to fix the problem, but knowledge is power, and awareness is of the highest importance at this point.”
